Few would contest that Billy Graham was a man of God who contributed greatly to the proclamation of the Gospel. It is estimated that over the course of his six decades of ministry - through radio, television and live crusades - he reached over 210 million souls worldwide. To use a modern day term, Billy Graham was an "influencer".

 

We can draw tremendous hope therefore when we consider what this anointed evangelist had to say about Canada, and the role Canada can play in bringing revival not only to our nation, but through us, to the world. Billy Graham was by no means the only spiritual "influencer" to prophesy that Canada has been chosen by God to play an important role in furthering His kingdom on earth.  Lately, many prophetic voices around the world are declaring that God has a special role for Canada upon the world stage and some of them have even specifically mentioned the province of Alberta as spearheading some of this renewal. There was also a book published quite a few years ago with hundreds of prophecies about Canada and its destiny in Jesus Christ.

Linda and I regularly watch the video linked below to boost our faith. It was recorded over 40 years ago in Toronto during an interview with David Mainse, founder of 110 Huntley Street.  Billy Graham's experience in Canada, especially through his live crusades, gave him a unique pulse on our country.  We find his words awaken great faith in us and stir us to pray more confidently for our nation. We believe that many believers are being awakened by the Holy Spirit to cry out for the Lord to intervene in our troubled world. He has promised to do so! Could this year of the Jubilee of Hope be the appointed time for such an intervention? Can we help usher in the fulfilment of those many prophetic words?  Why not!
