The rosary is

the storehouse

of countless
blessings.
Heading 2
Marcel - September 29, 2024 - I'm convinced that every one of us would be hard pressed to find even one Christian who has not, at some point in their walk, asked someone else to pray for them. It's natural to do so. In fact, since we know of the power of prayer, it's actually more accurate to say that it's supernatural to do so. Why then is it so difficult for some - especially our non-Catholics siblings - to believe that asking Mary to pray for us is a good thing? A very good thing!

Libraries have been filled with books, written by those far more qualified than me, on the "storehouse" of merits to be gained by pondering the mysteries of the life of Jesus while reciting the rosary. All the saints attest to that. But since most of us are not yet saints, we can benefit from occasionally revisiting some fundamentals of praying formal prayers by rote. I recall reading a reflection on the rosary by Catherine Doherty, the founder of the Madonna House Apostolate. She wrote something along the lines of, "To pray the rosary properly, one needs the better part of a week!"

I invite you to join us in this simple prayer:

"Dear mother Mary, how I long to know Jesus more personally, as you knew Him, to be completely submitted to the Father's purpose for my life, as you were, and like you, to be more docile and obedient to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Please pray for me, now, and at the hour of my death. Amen."

Linda - Over the last few months, we have released posts on our sense that there was "something coming" and that there would be a "great shaking" that would coincide with a "great awakening". I tend to believe that we are entering more fully in those days. The threat of global war is on the rise, riots are breaking out in major cities around the world, nature's rebellion is increasing and satanic worship is becoming so much more overt, to name but a few of these terrible happenings. But, Marcel and I have always believed that there would be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit that would help us counter this darkness in a major way.

What I've been sensing lately is that God will do "something" before too long, that He has an "ace up His sleeve" and that many will be surprised at what this ace actually is. I believe that this might be related to Our Lady and that many people around the globe will be astounded at the revelation of who she really is: the Queen of Heaven, chosen by God to be the Mother of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ and to be our Mother. If any of you have a sense about this, please share it below. We are interested...
Linda - October 10, 2021 - Thanksgiving weekend. In the past year and a half, there's been a major shift on the global scene, especially in the political, economical and ideological arenas from which, I fear, there is no turning back. Our personal freedoms are being increasingly restricted and our basic inalienable rights as citizens of this world and also as citizens of the Kingdom of God on earth are being overridden. If you feel a growing sense of unease, if you feel that things just aren't quite right, if you believe that there's an evil agenda behind the growing censorship worldwide, if you see darkness increasing at an alarming speed and becoming bolder in its expression, then I believe that you are seeing things with a clear eye. This evil agenda is on a global scale and things will definitely worsen as time goes by, with many of us having to perhaps embrace a white if not a red martyrdom. I do sincerely hope not, but the reality of the times in which we are now living seems to be pointing in that direction.

Many of you, I know, are praying the Rosary and asking Our Lady and her son Jesus to intervene in the growing chaos, confusion and division that we find in the world and in the Church. Please continue to do so, especially during this month dedicated to the Rosary. More than ever, we need intercessors like you who will storm heaven in a spirit of love, humility and great trust in God's goodness. We must put our faith only and solely in God and not put our trust in "foreign alliances" that will ultimately fail us. The only way out of our present difficulties is trust in God alone.
However, I also know that there are many, like Marcel and I, who find the recitation of the Rosary a very difficult practice, so you may find the following post quite helpful and encouraging: "The Dark Tornado Dream" which reveals the power of "one Hail Mary". May the Immaculate Heart of Mary Triumph over all the darkness that is presently afflicting us!
