France's dream is very short, but it's full of depth and meaning!  So let's break down the dream and try to mine the richness of this night parable.

The Focus of the dream is France.  We could also add Angela, who is her daughter in waking life.  

​

Next come the Subfocuses which are "dancing", the singing of "Pennies from Heaven" and the rain of dimes.

There is one important Detail; the country road.

​

France and her daughter Angela are on a country road.  This symbol will often represent a path in life that not many people choose.  It can often symbolize the narrow road that Jesus spoke about, the one that leads to life.  It's the path less travelled.  So it's clear from the dream that France and her daughter have chosen the path of life.

 

They are dancing and singing which implies joy and freedom.  Dancing as a symbol can often represent a reality of joy, freedom, trust and abandonment.  It's a "whole body" kind of thing.  It's expressive of an inner reality, and in this case, of an inner reality that's good and joyful.  France and her daughter Angela are "stepping out in rhythm" with the realities of heaven.

 

Singing can symbolize something very similar but instead of using our bodies, we use our voice.  So France and Angela are lifting up their voices to God, singing a song that declares something important: when there are clouds that come in our life - as they always do - it's important to declare the truth.  And what is that truth?  That when there are clouds that bring rain, the rain will always contain a blessing; pennies from heaven.  

As France and Angela proclaim these truths out loud and in song, the rain suddenly starts, but instead of bringing pennies it brings even more; it brings dimes!!  The clouds disgorge 10x the amount that they were declaring!  The lesson here is that when we praise the Lord and put our trust in Him by declaring the realities of heaven, He will reward us tenfold or more, as Jesus says in the scriptures. 

​

The rain dropping down money from heaven is also symbolic of the Holy Spirit.  He is depicted in many ways such as a dove or a wind, but He's also represented by water or rain.  We pray don't we, that the Holy Spirit would "shower down" his blessings upon us and this is what He does in the dream.  He showers down his blessings upon France and her daughter - a blessing that they never could have imagined or thought of.

There's one more thing to add about this dream.  The number 10 is also symbolic.  It can represent the shepherd who pastors his sheep through difficult times or it can represent the perfection of divine order.  I believe that both of these meanings apply in this dream.  The Lord was definitely shepherding France through a challenging time in her life (her dream about the Holy Spirit rearranging the furniture) and He was letting her know that these actions of His in her life were perfectly ordered and designed to bring about the maximum amount of blessing to her.

What the Lord was telling France was this: If she continued to trust in the Lord and endeavoured to praise Him as she was going through difficult times of change, and turned expectantly towards heaven, singing and dancing in an attitude of trust and joy, the Holy Spirit would come and "rain down" upon her much more than she was declaring through her faith.  And nothing would be wanting.  She would obtain much more than she could ever imagine; tenfold in fact, which would be quite a return on her "investment"!  God wanted her to know that by nature, He is a gracious, kind and very lavish Father who longs to bless His children.
