"Watchmen on the Wall" Dream

My "Watchmen on the Wall" dream given to me near the end of July 2018, was rather short and pretty simple. I was leaving work, I saw something and I had a thought about it. That was it. One of the reasons I've decided to share it is because some of you might recognize something similar going on in your own lives and understanding this dream can give you insight into a path the Lord might be calling you into.
I was exiting a building which seemed to be my place of work. As I was walking by the front of the building, I noticed that the whole building itself was mostly made of glass, like the newer work towers that are being built these days...basically mostly windows with a bit of brick.

I looked up and saw that on the right of the building, on quite a few floors, several workers had decided to pull their chairs right up to the window in order to do their work there. They were seated, working away, basking in the sunlight streaming in and able to see so much more than being at a desk somewhere else in the office.

"Oh", I thought, "they've probably seen me do this and they've decided to do the same."
Upon waking up, the first thing that came to mind was, "Oh I know, the title for the dream should be "Watchmen on the Wall". It was so clear to me that this is what I had been shown in the dream; people who were positioning themselves so that they could see more clearly into the distance. It's like they could still do their normal, every day duties, but they had seated themselves in such a way that they could also be on the alert and see anything "out there". What also struck me in the dream is that these people were at peace. They weren't frantic or anxious. They were carrying out the tasks that needed to be done, but they were also totally aware of their surroundings and alert to what might be going on outside in the world.

Windows in dreams usually represent "vision" and the capacity to see something clearly. Because the building was mostly made of windows, this means that the people working there were given a great capacity to see far into the distance and to receive knowledge or revelation from what they were seeing. Brick buildings evoke a sense of sturdiness and stability so the building in the dream was securely anchored, stable, unmovable, rooted in the truths of God.

It was a bright, sunny day, which meant the Lord was present in the "Son-shine". By sitting right up close to the windows, everyone there was basking in this sunshine, so there is a sense of everyone going about their "duty of the moment" in a prayerful attitude, ready to call out what they were seeing in the distance.

The dream ends with me going home from work. I think the Lord was saying that in our frail human nature, it's difficult to be on duty 24/7. It can be tiring and it does have its costs. But He provides for others to take over when our "watch" is over so that there is literally a round the clock watch.
To be a person on the watchtower is a service to those we love, to family and friends and to God's people in general. It's a calling by God to be watchful, to be on the alert, to prayerfully consider what one is being shown, most especially about the future - near or far. With the calling there comes an ability to describe and in many cases, interpret what is being seen or heard.

I believe God is calling many people to be "watchmen on the tower", pointing out what they see coming in the distance in order to "sound the alarm" so that the people of God have time to respond and get ready. The watchman is essentially the person who watches for activity outside the walls of the city and when they see it, they sound the alarm, either in prayer or vocally to those around them. Actually, since all of us are part of the Kingdom of God and we all have an area of responsibility within that kingdom, we are all watchmen to some degree or other within our sphere of influence. We all have our place on the wall. To be sure, not everything we see is negative; we might also be given sight to see all the good things that God is doing so that we may call it out and call others to come and support His plans and purposes upon the earth. But in the Old Testament, the sentinel on the watchtower was the one who kept guard on behalf of the inhabitants, looking out into the distance with a keen eye and an awakened spirit to keep tabs on any enemy incursions in order to keep their people safe. Even vineyard owners built watchtowers on their land to keep marauders from stealing their crops.

Of course we need to be sure that what we see is really from the Lord so it's a good practice to always pray before releasing a word. Prayer enables us to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit who will reveal to us how we are to relay the information we've been given, to whom it should be given and also when to share the word. There can be times when God reveals something to us that is never meant to be shared but which can often be a call to intercession. Discernment is key.

I know for a fact that many of you have been given keen eyes and an awakened spirit to discern what is going on in the world today. I pray that you be given the grace to remain at your post, calling out to your loved ones what you see, so that they can prepare for what is ahead. The times are getting darker and we need people who will have the wisdom needed to navigate those times, who will be anchored in prayer and who will be able to speak clearly the Word of Truth.

Since the lockdown in March 2020, there has been a veritable explosion of evil, wickedness, and filth in the world and sadly, in the church as well. The world is no longer the same. Wars, rumours of wars, sexual depravity and perversions of all kinds, natural disasters, globalist agendas, woke-ism, cancel culture, the descent into paganism and the rise of the occult; all these elements are on the world stage at the present moment and continue to increase exponentially. Many people are asleep and are failing to heed the Lord's advice to "stay awake" so that they will be able to "read the signs of the times". The line between good and evil, between the gospel and the anti-gospel, between the One, True Christ, and the anti-christ has become more clearly delineated. The battle is on; it is upon us. And it is fierce!

At the same time, Marcel and I are totally convinced that the Holy Spirit is soon coming in power to equip the Church to fight against the powers and principalities, against the false gods that are seeking to enslave us and paganize our culture. It will be a move of the Holy Spirit upon the earth, the likes of which none of us has ever seen. This move will be greater than the first Pentecost experienced by the disciples in the Upper Room.

So all those of you who are receiving insights, words, revelations, and dreams from the Lord about the times that we are living in; you are the watchmen on the tower with eyes to see and ears to hear. May the Lord strengthen you so that you can remain at your post and have the courage to speak out what you see and what you hear and the faith to act upon the guidance the Lord is giving you through dreams, words, revelation, and prayer. The Church needs people like you...since you were born for such a time as this!
Ezekiel 3:17
"I have appointed you as watchman for the House of Israel.
When you hear a word from my mouth, warn them from me.

Isaiah 21: 6-8
For this is what the Lord has told me,
'Go, post a look-out, let him report what he sees...
let him watch alertly, be very alert indeed!'
'On the watchtower, Lord, I stay all day
and at my post I stand all night.
Isaiah 62: 6-7
On your walls, Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen;
they will never fall silent, day or night.
No peace for you, as you keep Yahweh's attention!
And give him no peace either
until he restores Jerusalem [the Church]
and makes her the pride of the world!
