Prayer for Canada

Marcel and Linda Dion
April 6, 2025

Our beloved Canada is on the threshold of the most significant federal election in its history, and the Lord is endeavouring to raise up an army to pray - and vote of course - such that His dominion be reestablished "from sea to sea" (Psalm 72:8) over our land. We need to pray that God's will be done through these elections and that biblical values be established in the government; that fiscal integrity be restored and that Canadians awake to the seriousness of the times in which we live.

For a year now, we've been posting words we've been hearing from the Lord:  Something is coming!  Stand!  Awake!  The Great Shaking is coming!  So now is the time to take a stand through prayer and through our vote.

Although this particular conflict is being fought politically, the battle is not merely political in nature but more fundamentally a spiritual one. The evil one is ruthlessly trying to rob Canada of its spiritual destiny in Christ Jesus!

We know that many of you are formidable prayer warriors so we invite you to add to your existing arsenal the prayer posted below. In response to our great need, the Holy Spirit has inspired Fr Chad Ripperger - a renowned American exorcist - to compose a powerful prayer for Canada as we prepare to choose new leaders.  We find it interesting that God is raising up people the world over to pray for Canada and for these elections, which points to the fact that our country has an important role to play upon the world stage.  There is something quite prophetic about it all!

We've included below a video to remind us of the historic consecration of our nation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of our founding. Canada belongs to God! Let us join the army.  May our national destiny in Christ Jesus be fulfilled to the honour and glory of God!

We've included a link below so that you may be informed as to what's at stake in these upcoming elections.  This is not the time to be complacent.  We need to pray and get involved!

Mary Immaculate, living tabernacle of the Divinity, where the eternal Wisdom lies hidden to be adored and served by angels and men, Queen of heaven and of earth, beneath whose sway are subject all things that are lower than God, earthly spouse of St. Joseph, patron of Canada, sorrowful and mindful of our own sinfulness and the sins of our nation, we come to Thee, our refuge and hope.

Knowing that our country cannot be saved by our own works and mindful of how much our nation has departed from the ways of Thy Son, we humbly beg that Thou wouldst turn Thine eyes upon our country of Canada to bring about its conversion.

We consecrate to Thee and St. Joseph the integrity of the upcoming election and its outcome, so that what is spiritually and morally best for the citizens of our country may be accomplished, and that all of those who are elected would govern according to the spiritual and moral principles which will bring our nation into conformity with the teachings of Thy Son.

Hear the pleading of the Foster Father of Our Lord and give grace to the citizens of this land so that they will choose leaders according to the Sacred Heart of Thy Son, that His glory may be made manifest, lest we be given the leaders we deserve. Trusting in the providential care of God the Father and Thy maternal care, we have perfect confidence that Thou wilt take care of us and will not leave us forsaken.

1 Timothy 2:1

I urge then, first of all that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving should be offered for everyone, for kings and others in authority, so that we may be able to live peaceful and quiet lives with all devotion and propriety.  To do this is right, and acceptable to God our Saviour: he wants everyone to be saved and reach full knowledge of the truth.
