Something is Coming!

As previously mentioned in another post, there's a word that I've found myself writing over and over again for the past 2 years and that's the word "STAND!" (see Proverbs 28:1 post).  As global events unfold and unelected technocrats work together to ensnare the whole world in their wicked global agenda, the Lord is asking all those of us who belong to Him to stand firm against the evil tide and to push back.

But there's another "word" that the Lord has been speaking to me for a while and it began almost 4 years ago in August of 2020 with a dream.  I had entitled the dream "Kiss and Wake Up".

It felt like I was standing in a sort of grocery store because I could vaguely see fruits and vegetables behind a man.  I was just standing there, not doing anything, sort of just looking ahead.  Then the man came up to me, kissed me on the forehead and said, "Wake up!"

I think I was asleep from being so tired.  He then kissed me 2 more times.  I was really trying so hard to open my eyes, like we do when we're awakened suddenly from a really deep sleep.  I felt so absolutely exhausted and sort of wondered how I could actually be standing up and sleeping, but I was struggling really hard to rouse myself from this sleep.

Stand!
Wake Up!

I remember very well, even 4 years later, the struggle it was to keep my eyelids open and the feeling of being so exhausted!  I remember the gentleness of this man as He kissed my forehead 3 times; he wasn't angry and his tone wasn't one of rebuke, but I knew he was in earnest and that I needed to respond.

This man was of course the Lord Jesus and the fact that He kissed me 3 times was to indicate that all 3 persons of the Trinity were involved in this awakening.  The fruits and vegetables symbolized the excellent spiritual food that the Lord wants to feed people with, and the grocery store represented the "marketplace" which is symbolic of the secular world.

I believe that many, many of us need to be awakened in order to face the intense battle that is now upon us.  We have served the Lord for decades and have truly loved Him and His Church.  We have endeavoured to be faithful to His commandments, our vocation and our mission.  However, with the passage of time, which brings many great disappointments, hurts, reversals, trials and sorrows in all areas of our lives, there are certain parts of our beings that may have "numbed out", slowly fallen asleep and become a little blind. Like Cinderella, the Lord is "kissing us awake" so that we may be enabled to face the greater trials that are coming upon us with an alert spirit and an awakened soul, which will in turn enable us to share more effectively God's Gospel (fruits and vegetables) with hungry souls (grocery store).

What the Lord declared through Isaiah is for us today,  "Arise, shine out, for your light has come and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you. Look! though night still covers the earth and darkness the peoples, on you Yahweh is rising and over you his glory can be seen.  The nations will come to your light and kings to your dawning brightness."  (Isaiah 60:1-3)

In the past month or so, I have also been hearing other words in my spirit that are quite insistent.  I've been asking the Lord to confirm those words and I believe that He has, often, and in a variety of ways.  We put them before you so that you may first of all discern these words, and secondly, obtain insight as to what they might mean.  If you do receive any kind of insight and feel led to share them, please do so in the comments box below.

The words that I've been hearing are the following:

Get ready!
Prepare!
Something is coming.

Marcel and I are asking the Lord how we are to get ready and what exactly we are to prepare for.  We wholeheartedly believe that there is an amazing outpouring of the Holy Spirit that will occur, which is a good thing, but we also believe that this outpouring will come as "great darkness covers the earth" (Is 60:2).  It will truly be a case of Kingdoms in conflict.

Every time I hear "There's something coming, there's something coming!", I do feel a certain amount of sadness well up inside.  The sense is that something will happen that will be quite grievous and the Lord wants us to be prepared literally and especially spiritually. Those of us who have a well established prayer life will receive wisdom from the Holy Spirit to navigate those challenging times.  From among us will arise great leaders who by the Holy Spirit, will move in signs and wonders. Many of these leaders will come from the younger generations; they will be the new lions who will roar as they lift up their voices to speak the truth of the Gospel and proclaim Jesus Christ in the marketplace.

St Pope John Paul II spoke prophetically, back in 1976, when he declared that what is upon us "is a trial which the whole Church, and the Polish Church in particular, must take up. It is a trial of not only our nation and the Church, but, in a sense, a test of 2,000 years of culture and Christian civilization with all of its consequences for human dignity, individual rights, human rights and the rights of nations.”

However, these trials are always allowed by God to bring us to a deeper commitment to Him, to a deeper covenanted love and ultimately, to an amazingly great victory that will profoundly impact the world as well as the Church.  He is always, and absolutely, in control of all that occurs on earth.  And we can be sure of the fact that He has promised to be with us always and that the angels, Our Lady and all the Saints are also standing by our side, ready to do battle with us and for us!

Mark 13: 33-37

"Be on your guard, stay awake, because you never know when the time will come.  It is like a man travelling abroad; he has gone from his home, and left his servants in charge, each with his own work to do; and he has told the doorkeeper to stay awake.  So stay awake, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming, evening, midnight, cockcrow or dawn; if he comes unexpectedly he must not find you asleep.  And what I am saying to you I say to all: Stay awake!"
